The main cases in which this is possible occur when: there is a constant expenditure of a product, an expenditure proportional to the surface area handled, an expenditure proportional to the electrolytic deposit or a pH adjustment.

The filtering of a bath lengthens its life and increases its effectiveness. Every bath has its own filtering requirements, in terms of the need for renewals per hour and in terms of the most appropriate type of filter.

Two of the most general solutions are filtering by means of a filter pump and GAF filtering.
